Set within the turrets and red sandstone of our 19th-century Country House, on the banks of the River Nith, Friars Carse is the setting for one of Dumfries’ most memorable Hogmanay nights. Dress to impress and enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival, complemented by a selection of our delicious canapés in front of the fire; soon after, our Scottish Piper Callum Watson will lead the traditional procession through to a formal five-course dinner in our historic dining rooms. Once your bellies are full, it’s time to PARTY!!
Our band, Celtic Rouge, will entertain and ensure your feet are never off the dance floor with popular party hits and some ceilidh (of course!) right up to the bells. Make sure those glasses are full as the clock strikes midnight, and join us outside — under the walls of the old estate — for our GRAND FIREWORK EXTRAVAGANZA.
The celebrations don’t stop there; make your way back inside as the music begins again right up until 1 AM!
