1805 etching by James & Greig Storer of the Hermitage at Friars Carse,
a favourite escape of Robert Burns.

Arrive from 3pm onwards on Friday 24th and start unwinding before dining in the hotel’s Whistle Restaurant.

After Saturday morning’s breakfast, enjoy the hotel grounds, walk the trails and visit our Hermitage, which Burns called his ‘livied cot’.

On Saturday night there will be traditional piping of the haggis, a memorable evening of good food and banter, with our four course Scottish Menu, then Scottish storyteller and playwright David Dewar will share Burn’s special relationship with the Estate (then Glen Riddle) including Burns recitals and a lot of humour, and then a strong finish with tunes and a wee Ceilidh courtesy of Box & Fiddle.

On the Sunday morning relax over a leisurely breakfast before heading off.
