Burns Weekend

What better place to celebrate the life and works of Robert Burns than in his native country of Scotland and, even better, at Friars Carse, which played a part in the bard’s short life? The Burns Supper on the Saturday evening will feature a fantastic atmosphere with delicious food and great company. Why not join us for this annual two-night Burns Weekend? It’s a popular occasion, so book early to avoid disappointment!

After Saturday morning’s breakfast, enjoy the hotel grounds, walk the trails and visit our Hermitage, which Burns called his ‘livied cot’.
On Saturday night there will be traditional piping of the haggis, a memorable evening of good food and banter, with our four course Scottish Menu, then Scottish storyteller and playwright David Dewar will share Burn’s special relationship with the Estate (then Glen Riddle) including Burns recitals and a lot of humour, and then a strong finish with tunes and a wee Ceilidh courtesy of Box & Fiddle.
On the Sunday morning relax over a leisurely breakfast before heading off.
