Friars Carse is a traditional 13th Century Country House in a 45 acre estate extending down to the River Nith delivering highly commended Scottish cuisine, service and bedroom accommodation making it the perfect venue for your seasonal celebrations. There is also lift access to all floors and bedrooms.
In the Whistle Restaurant and The Nith Room we cater for both lunch and dinner parties and our fully heated marquee is ideal for larger events but, as all bookings are subject to availability, we suggest you book now to avoid disappointment.

Arrive from 3pm onwards on Friday 23rd ready for dinner and an evening of music and light entertainment.
After breakfast on the Saturday morning, make your way by car or even on foot to neighbouring Ellisland Farm, once the home of Robert Burns. Then, at 6.30pm, everyone will gather for a Burns Supper in the lounge starting off a memorable evening of good food, poems and Burns humour.
Take a leisurely Sunday breakfast before you head for home.
Not only will we be celebrating the life and works of Robert Burns in his native Scotland but nearby Dumfries will be hosting the “Big Burns Supper” event over the same weekend, giving Burns enthusiasts plenty of interesting things to fill the daytime.
